PIGLET NUTRITIONAL PROGRAM

Tecnología & Vitaminas, S.L. has an experimental farm of investigation, development and innovation of new products since 2013.

During these 3 years two fattening tests and one test on rearing gilts have been made, but the most important thing is the number of experiments made on thewhich have allowed to create new nucleus for young animals as well as to study different nutritional programs for the transition period.

The main conclusions made from these 10 tests on piglets are the following ones:

Creation and validation of new nucleus for early ages:
-   NORPIG 7.5% for maternal and pre-starter feed
-   NORPIG 1% for starter feed

Nutritional programs:
-    It is advisable to start giving pre-starter feed to the piglets in the form of pap during first 7-10 days.
-    In case of not being possible to give the feed in the form of pap, it is advisable to administer maternal feed on a plate
-    Use of pre-starter feed during  12 days
-    Application of two different formulas of starter feed:

   . Starter 1 during about 16 days
   . Starter 2 during about 14 days

The use of a nutritional program with these features and the nucleus for early ages NORPIG 7.5% and NORPIG 1% on pig farms will optimize their productive and economic index.
