EXPERIMENTAL FARM IT

Tecnología & Vitaminas, S.L. owns an experimental farm for investigation, innovation and development of new products for pigs.

It`s a new farm with the newest innovations used to realize a comprehensive monitoring of the experiments made. The main feature of the farm is the automatic feeding system with two machines, which allows reduce the risk of cross-contamination of the feeds as well as keep a daily record of consumption of each pen.

The farm started operation at the end of 2013 and since then more than 10 experiments have been made, among them transition, fattening and rearing gilt tests. The elaboration of these tests is very important for the study of the company´s products, evaluation of different feeding programs and for the development of new alternatives to obtain improvements of productivity in the pig sector. Own investigations, R+D service and experiments supported by CDTI projects are included in these experiments.

The final purpose of the farm is to gain the products and the feeding strategies which help to make improvements in the pig sector.
